This is something that I wrote in my Livejournal back in October. I had always been meaning to put it up here, but never did. -_- So now I will. Even though the dub is past the Noa arc already. (When did THAT happen??)
I haven't seen any commercials or anything for the Noa episodes, so here are just my crazy predictions of what the dub is going to do!!:
Noa's Voice
I bet they're going to cast Veronica Taylor or someone like that. Even though, if she were to voice ANYONE on Yu-Gi-Oh!, it would have to be Bakura. CAN YOU GUESS WHY?!!
Um... yes. Anyway, what would be REALLY annoying yet amusing is if they had ARIMA'S voice actor do Noa's voice!! I mean, he has, like, the deepest voice in the world, and he has no idea how to use a microphone. That would just have me dying in fits of laughter.
What Happened to Noa?
Little American kiddies aren't allowed to know about death. So if 4Kids sticks with that, they're probably going to do something like this:
-When Noa got hit by the car, he was thrown into a manhole that just HAPPENED to have a portal to the Shadow Realm in there!! AHH!! Because... no one dies on Yu-Gi-Oh! They just get sent to the Shadow Realm!! Of course, that doesn't explain why Noa's in a computer, so Gozaburo probably fished him out of there with his mad Kaiba powahs and put Noa's mind in a computer. HOORAH!!
-Noa was hit by this really high-tech car, and when he was hit, his mind got transferred into the car's computer system and now Noa is stuck in the computer world!! But NEVER FEAR!! He is not dead, he is just passed out! For six years!
-When Noa got hit by the car, the world got really mad because Noa is the bomb and so the world went haywire. There were heat waves and blizzards and floods of chocolate, and then there were some northern lights-things in the sky and a little meteorite thing fell to the ground next to Noa. With the last of his strength Noa took it and then a big tidal wave came out of nowhere and engulfed him and then he was sent to the Digital World. AND HIS DIGIMON WAS SUNNY!!!! OH, YAY!!!!
-The Big 5 hit Noa with a car, kidnapped him, and then brought him into the virtual world with them through the game pods.
Noa's Name
Noa is a very religious name, and that's bad. So they'll probably change Noa's name to some OTHER famous guy who had a boat and is not a religious figure. Like some sort of Viking! Or... they'll name him COLUMBUS!!! COLUMBUS KAIBA!!! No, wait... they'll name him Marco!! Yeah, Marco Polo Kaiba!! HAW HAW HAW!!!
Or they'll just claim that the lack of an H immediately makes it non-religious. Or they'll pronounce it weird, like with a hard A or something. No-ay. Hmm...
Then again, Brock talked about Noah back in them oldschool days of Pokemon when the St. Anne sunk and all. So maybe they'll just leave it be.
Stealing Bodies
Actually... they may just keep this. I mean, they probably would not have if it never actually happened, but they stole Honda's body, so they can't just cover it up that easily.
But I bet they'll turn that vat of lava into a portal to the Shadow Realm or something. Daw haw haw haw.
Man, now I really want Noa to be voiced by the same person as Arima, JUST to see what it would be like!!!
